Background: Few studies have examined the association between illness perception, self-management, and quality of life in adults with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM), especially resource-limited countries such as Indonesia. Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate relationship adult DM Methods: The inclusion criteria were aged over 18 years old diagnosed DM. Convenience sampling was used this study. A total 351 patients recruited (response rate= 97.50%). following instrument: World Health Organization Quality Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF), Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (B-IPQ), Self-Management (DSMQ). Hierarchical regression models constructed by using score overall QOL those for each domain dependent variables. Results: mean age 54 (SD=8.14) time living 92 (SD=82.88) months. Higher perception significantly associated lower physical health scores (β = -.395, SE .096), psychological -.365, .110), social relationships -.363, .138), environment -.367, .105). Conclusion: findings indicated that poorer perceptions are a life. establish foundation future interventions at altering order promote self-care improved people diabetes.
